Description

Disassembly of the FN 509, FNS, or FNS Compact doesn’t have to be intimidating.  The ALT Performance Disassembly Block makes the process fool-proof by positioning and supporting your punch in the perfect location to remove the dreaded press-fit unlock block assembly pin.  A few taps with the hammer and you’re able to safely and properly disassemble your pistol, enabling you to perform any necessary upgrades or modifications.  With the right tools, a little patience, and attention to detail, you can perform your upgrades confidently.

How To Use

1. Clear your firearm.
2. Just make sure it's clear.
3. Remove the magazine if you haven't already.
4. Takedown and remove the slide.
5. Remove the takedown lever.
6. Insert the frame assembly into your Alt Performance Disassembly Block.
7. Lay the frame assembly and Disassembly Block on its side so that the text is pointing up.
8. Using a punch and hammer, lightly tap the trigger pin through Hole #1 so that the trigger pin engages the opposite side of the Disassembly Block. This will lock the frame into place and ensure perfect alignment for the unlock block retaining pin.
9. If you haven't already, move to a sturdy surface, such as a concrete floor.
10. Insert the short punch pin (provided) into Hole #2.
11. Begin tapping with your hammer. Depending on how stubborn the unlock block retaining pin is, this may take some considerable taps. Keep working with it. Once it begins to move, switch to the longer punch pin (provided). Ultimately, punch until the factory pin is completely out and the provided punch pins are out.
12. Once the unlock block retaining pin is clear, finish removing the trigger pin and remove the frame from the Disassembly Block.
